The title has you warned. The following images are extremely not safe for work, but here at We Are Indie Horror we are fans of the latest installment from the UK horror photographer Rick Jones of the company Horrify Me
We have covered his work before with his gender bending also not safe for work Lady Pinhead set and his cleaner Bride of Frankenstein shoot. It is no doubt that Jones likes to push the envelope and constantly challenge himself. This time he has completely out did himself with his photos depicting The Angry Princess from the 2001 haunted house flick Thir13en Ghosts
For those who need a reminder here is a quick synopsis on the film:
When Cyrus Kriticos, a very rich collector of unique things dies, he leaves it all to his nephew and his family. All including his house, his fortune, and his malicious collection of ghosts!
Growing up for this We Are Indie Horror writer, Thir13en Ghosts was a classic, one of the favorites in the house. The film created a world and a mythos all its own. A deep and dark history plagued the ghosts captured for the house with each story being more intense than the last. The sixth ghost in the black zodiac and the third female to appear is nicknamed The Angry Princess. Portrayed in the film by Shawna Loyer, who has no other credits to her name, The Angry Princess is modeled by Phoneix for Horrify Me. Rick Jones‘s latest photography stint involves some gruesome recreations of this ghost in fine detail inside the house and her containment cube.
What always fascinated about Thir13en Ghosts was the stories created for each individual ghosts. The story of The Angry Princess is one of grace and self-loathing. Dana Newman was in life an incredibly pretty woman who was unable to recognize her own beauty. Her low self-esteem issues were brought on by a series of abusive boyfriends and led to multiple look altering and unnecessary procedures like breast implants and a various nose jobs. Dana was placed in a clinic where doctors tried to help her but failed. One night while left alone she caught an imaginary imperfection on her face and attempted to perform surgery on herself. Unfortunately the unorthodox procedure went horribly awry and left her blinded in one eye. Convinced she would forever not be beautiful she slashed herself up with a butcher’s knife until she bled to death in her bathtub. Suicide took this beauty’s life.
After death Dana’s spirit was bound to earth while hating all people, especially those who caused her such pain. Later she was captured by Cyrus Kriticos and added to the Basileus Machine as The Angry Princess. The rest of her story can be found in the feature film Thir13en Ghosts
With such a rich background, an in depth story, and phenomenal make-up it is no wonder that Rick Jones wanted to attack The Angry Princess for his next project. This is your last warning. The following photos are incredibly not safe and involve a plethora of blood and vast amounts of nudity; she did die naked in a bathtub and her body was her biggest concern in life. We have a few here for you but the rest of the amazing album can be found at HORRIFY ME’S WEBSITE HERE. FINAL WARNING – now enjoy!
