‘Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories’ Eyeing Summer 2017 Release

Fans of the first Volumes of Blood, the anthology feature set in a library, don’t have to wait too long for its successor, Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories (this time around set in a Victorian home) which is scheduled to release summer 2017. The Blood Moon Pictures production was just acquired for distribution by Petri Entertainment (Funhouse Massacre). The anthology feature will be released under Petri’s new genre distribution division Dark Cuts

Here is a quick synopsis of Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories’ segments:

“… A popular 80’s franchise gets a modern upgrade, but at what price? On Halloween night a teen left home alone meets a trick or treater that wants more than just candy. A door to door insurance salesman makes a Thanksgiving house call with monstrous consequences. Andrew and Sara are happily married and plan on spending some quality time together, but something sinister has other plans for their evening. Carol’s Christmas Eve turns into a fight for survival when a vengeful stranger isn’t feeling the holiday spirit. Lastly, a birthday party turns bloody when some unexpected guests drop by at the wrong time.”

Much like the first film, Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories segments are each directed by different directors. The line-up includes Nathan Thomas Milliner, Sean Blevins, James Treakle, John William Holt, Jon Maynard, and Justin Seaman. Starks serves as franchise creator, writer, and producer alongside Eric Huskisson, and Christopher Bower under the newly formed Blood Moon Pictures, LLC.
