As part of a three-pronged release in October Blood Hunters is finally making its North American debut. The successful and well-received film, which had its World Premiere at Horror Channel Fright Fest in London, is directed by Tricia Lee and written by Corey Brown, and stars Lara Gilchrist, Benjamin Arthur, Torri Higginson, Julian Richings, Mark Taylor, and Peter Blankenstein
Here is the synopsis for the film formerly known as One Drop
“Blood Hunters is a character-driven genre film about a single mother who wakes up in a medical facility to find that everyone is dead and she’s nine months pregnant.”
The film’s U.S. premiere was at Boston Science Fiction Festival and Terrorthon an 11 day event held at the historic Somerville theater. Next up for Blood Hunters, is a private red carpet charity event screening hosted by The Golden Triangle Angel Network (GTAN) on October 20, with the film’s proceeds going to Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation. Members of GTAN helped finance some of the film and make appearances in Blood Hunters as dead bodies. Canadian Blood Services will also be present to take down blood types and set up blood donation appointments.
The third North American screening of Blood Hunters will take place at the inaugural Requiem Fear Fest in Montreal, Canada, an event that is described as a festival and convention hybrid focused on showcasing everything horror. The film is produced by A Film Monkey Productions, Tricia Lee’s production company which has been responsible for 10 short films and three horror/thriller feature length films.
