The 17th Door Returns To Haunt Orange County For The Second Year

Dark storm clouds are forming over a shopping center in Tustin, CA as The 17th Door prepares to return for its Sophomore year.  Featured on our site last year as one of Jon’s Haunts, The haunt established itself last year as a more intense haunt, priding itself on how many people used the safe word, “Mercy!” Last year also say 26,000 victims walk through the doors of the haunt, making it one of the most popular haunts of 2015.

This unique haunt uses an interesting technique to keep parties separated, they actually lock their doors until it is time to walk through them. That means you are stuck with your worst nightmares with no way out. This year will be bigger than last year, the haunt contains a new mini escape room designed to challenge guests clue finding abilities. The haunt is interactive, meaning be ready to have someone touch you, lick you, or make you handle real dead animals. The 17th Door may not be the best for vegans, but it will scare the crap out of you.

This year will be a continuation fo last years story, according to owner Robbie Luther. “Same main character, still mostly taking place at Gluttire University. We will be diving deeper into Paula’s character by visiting her childhood and exposing where her problems first originated. Her childhood will be a major part of the story line this year. We plan to focus on developing the story this year and we have some good ideas about how we intend to do that.

The unique, timed haunt experience delves into the story of its main character, Paula, and how her life falls hard and fast down a spiral of torture and bad decisions. Can you walk in Paula’s shoes through the dissolution of her life and burning flashbacks of her past to withstand what’s behind that final door? Or will you succumb to fear and have to cry out “Mercy?”

The 17th Door runs September 23 to Halloween on select dates, at 2856 El Camino Real, Tustin, CA 92782. Tickets are available at The 17th Door website ranging in price from $22, with VIP packages starting at $27.
