Everybody loves a good zombie movie. Danish director Bo Mikkelsen‘s new movie What We Become appears to be the next great one. The film stars Mille Dinesen, Ole Dupont, and Mikael Birkkjær.
Here is a synopsis:
A family of four is quarantined in their home as a virulent strand of the flu spreads into town and they are forced to the extreme to escape alive. (IMDB)
What We Become, which has a new trailer you can see below, is set to premier at Fantastic Fest next month. From there the film is headed to BFI Cult selection and Sitges’ Official Fantastic Competition next month. The film will be released in Denmark in March, but for the rest of us there is no concrete news as to any form of release, but with a great festival showing and the support of our community it should be no time.
It’s always good to see talented filmmakers practice their craft. It should be stated that this is Bo’s feature debut, and based on the trailer, he kills it (pun not entirely intended). We’ve all seen the “zombie movie” before, and even though this seem close to a similar story line, the trailer still has an air of freshness that the genre could definitely use. What We Become is definitely a film to look out for.
