The upcoming film The Ninth Passenger has the type of title that would make Alfred Hitchcock proud. However, this is not a long lost Hitchcock film, instead it is the feature length debut of director Ian Pfaff. Ian Pfaff is no novice either, he has helmed a plentiful amount of short films that includes bombastic titles such as Froyo Robbery, Purgin Virgin, Mustache Dude!, Food Farts, and many more.
As of now the details are sparse but what we do know is that The Ninth Passenger’s principal photography is underway in Vancouver, Canada with the film’s production end handled by 308 Enterprises. The Ninth Passenger will star Jesse Metcalfe (John Tucker Must Die, Dallas) alongside Alexia Fast (Jack Reacher), Tom Maden (MTV’s Scream: The TV Series), Veronica Dunne (K.C. Undercover), Sabina Gadecki (Entourage), Corey Large (It Follows), David Hennessey (The Girl Who Invented Kissing), Cinta Kiehl (After the Dark), and Timothy Murphy (The Lone Ranger).
The Ninth Passenger is written by Corey Large (a native of Vancouver), who is also in the film, and head of 308 Enterprises, and Steve Albert. As of now, the film’s official synopsis reads,
“The Ninth Passenger follows a group of college students on a spontaneous midnight sea voyage that turns to horror when they drift to a dark island and are hunted by a mysterious ninth passenger.”
