October 6 Is The First Annual Indie Horror Day

We all know October is a brilliant time for horror. The cold air and pumpkin smell in the air creates the perfect atmosphere for all things scary. Well just 4 days after the release of A Christmas Horror Story and Deathgasm is the glorious date of October 6th. Why so glorious you might ask? The incredible amount of releases on that day is a list too long to even capture all of it. If this trend keeps up for, then the first Tuesday in every October shall be dubbed a day to remember, support, and appreciate Independent Horror and shall be called INDIE HORROR DAY. Here is a preview of everything that we could find coming out on October 6th within the independent horror world.

All Hallows Eve 2

(VOD) A woman finds a VHS tape on her doorstep that shows a series of gruesome tales that could be real. But the true danger is the pumpkin-faced killer that’s using the tape to find his next victim.

Children of the Night 

(DVD/Blu-Ray/VOD)  A secluded colony of child vampires come under attack from vengeful villagers in this darkly funny horror tale by Argentinean filmmaker Ivan Noel. 

Curve

(VOD) A young woman becomes trapped in her car after a hitchhiker causes her to have an automobile accident.

Deadrising: Watch Tower

(DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital HD) Based on the videogame created by Capcom. When a mandatory government vaccine fails and a full-scale zombie epidemic ensues, a news reporter and three other survivors are trapped inside a quarantine zone.  The team must use everything they can find to fight off the flesh-hungry mob and evade becoming part of the undead horde.

Eaters

(DVD/VOD) Five friends embark on an epic road trip, but when one friend disappears at a rest stop, their search brings them face to face with a violent biker gang. After a narrow escape from death, their nightmare goes from bad to spine-chilling when they find themselves being stalked in an abandoned town

Final Girl

(BR/DVD)A man teaches a young woman how to become a complete weapon. Later she is approached by a group of sadistic teens who kill blonde women for unknown reasons. The hunting season begins.

Girl Up And Die

(YouTube Series) an original horror anthology series focusing on the experience of being a girl. The episodes will tell familiar tales of female horror in new ways, tackling issues ranging from the gruesome nature of social exclusion to the startling other-dimensional truths behind tampons.

Gravy

(VOD) It’s All Hallow’s Eve. A trio of costumed misfits with very special dietary requirements seizes a Mexican cantina and force the staff to engage in a late night of gaming, food and libations. The only caveat is what’s on the menu.

Honeyspider

(VOD) It’s Halloween day in 1989 and college student Jackie Blue wants to enjoy a quiet birthday in the midst of a chaotic semester at school. Her friend Amber has other ideas and persuades Jackie to come to the annual Monster Mash party on campus after her shift at the local movie theater. As murder plays out on the silver screen during the theater’s Halloween night Horrorthon, Jackie falls under a strange spell, all while a mysterious stranger watches over her every move. As the night unfolds, Jackie slowly unravels and everyone around her is turning up dead. Jackie finds herself helplessly trapped like prey in a spider’s web, and all she can do is try to survive the night!

Trick R Treat: Days of The Dead
