Wolf Creek Series Comes To DVD on 3/21/17

The 2005 Aussie horror flick Wolf Creek has been a fan favorite for over a decade since its release, and now the Wolf Creek series is coming out on DVD. The mini-series aired an episode at Screamfest, which gained acclaim from critics all around.

Based on the iconic cult movie franchise, the all-new revenge thriller television series Wolf Creek: Season One arrives on DVD March 21 from Lionsgate. The season is currently available on Digital HD. John Jarratt reprises his role as the murdering psychopath of the Australian Outback, Mick Taylor. One of the most exciting new shows on cable network Pop, the series also stars Lucy Fry as an American college student who hunts down Mick Taylor to avenge the murder of her family. Executive produced by the film franchise’s creator and director, Greg McLean, the Wolf Creek: Season One DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $19.98.

Despite making its transition to television, Wolf Creek is a work of art that belongs on the big screen and, so far, a wholly cinematic experience. Apart from its breathtaking cinematography the series promises a gritty style and cynical perspective that will carry throughout the show’s entire narrative Playing more like a western than it does something out of the horror genre, Wolf Creek features expansive panoramic compositions that encompass the grandeur of the outback, reducing our characters to specks in the wind. As Eve hunts her former tormentor she treks through barren and dusty towns where denizens congregate in bars, escaping the heat, and the cruelty of the natural world.

Along with the first season, the DVD will also include some special features including:

  • “Cinema to Series: The Legacy of Wolf Creek” Featurette
  • “Making a Television Series” Featurette
  • “Meet the Stars” Featurette
  • “Discovering the Outback” Featurette
  • “Visual Effects” Featurette
  • “Meet the Supporting Cast” Featurette
