Ladies and gentlemen, Heppy Hour is coming to Youtube! You might be asking: “Hold on, is this some sort of typo, what’s Heppy Hour?” As a part of Heppy TV, Heppy Hour is an all-new web series hailing from, all the way from across the pond and beyond, Germany. The titular character of Heppy is a time-traveler from way back, the swinging 60s to be exact, who has now come crashing into the year 2011– hopefully adding a little flavor to the millennial culture.
Here is the official synopsis for the new anthology series:
“After mysteriously travelling in time, the young man “Heppy” finds himself in the year 2011. Without his former life, any clue about his situation and a new time era to live in, Heppy has to rise up and find his new place in the modern world.”
Heppy has been described as a Twilight Zone-esque program that mixes a variety of genres through various short stories. The series was shot live action and later animated in 2D and 3D renderings- think Richard Linklater’s Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly– combining many other art forms like stop motion animation.
Heppy Hour will hit Youtube the month of October with three episodes for its inaugural first season.
